Amulet of Natural Armor + Ring of Protection + Armor... Does it stack?

Hypothetical question:

A fighter character has a 12 Dex. The character also has an Amulet of Natural Armor +1 and a Ring of Protection +1. So the characters AC is 13.

The character goes out and buys Leather Armor and dons it.

At this point, what is the character's AC? Is it 15 (Dex + Amulet + Ring + Leather) or is it 14 (Dex + Ring + Leather)?

Does the character loose the effectiveness of "natural" armor by wearing armor?

If he lost his natural armor by wearing armor, wouldn't his armor class be 4?

Natural armor bonuses stack with everything except natural armor bonuses. Basically his natural armor goes from 10 to 11 with an amulet of natural armor +1.

At least as far as I can tell.

15, yep - they all give different bonuses, so they stack

10 base + 1 Natural +1 Deflection +2 Armor +1 Dex

"Natural armor" is in fact a distinct bonus type from "armor", and therefore they stack (for AC 15 in your example).

If you're unclear on the D&D armor stacking rules, you may wish to consult this FAQ page (Example #10 is very nearly the same as your question): www.superdan.net/dndfaq1.html
