Dog saves man from bear

Man eats dog.

I hope it becomes a film and we see the tear jerking moment when the man decides to kill his dog with a rock to the head. Hehehe.

Well that's pretty ungrateful, eating your best friend after he saved your life.

What I'm not clear on is why the dude didn't cut the trip short and immediately head for civilization (or call for help) after the attack.

From what I read in other news soruces: h didn't have somethign to call for help. No satphone, radio, no nothing. He did try to head down the river in his canoe. He had a gun and some ammo so he hunted for a while, but at some point he hurt his ankle and stayed put for a month there. This is when he ate the dog.

Not having anything to communicate with civilization was really negligence on his part. Althought his daughter did wait a month after the date he was suppose to return before calling the cops. Seems she wasn't too worried.
