A Wicked Kendragon
I've been intentionally avoiding it so that when I get back to it I'll have lots to read in one go. I'm at the point where they finally move into the start of the original trilogy.

DM of the Rings was funny as hell.
Darths & Droids has been pretty consistently good-to-brilliant in the observations of gamers and the SW movies. I also enjoy the by-play of the "players" through the actions of the characters. Like the med-student re-evaluating his life after his 5-yo sister chews him out, or the girlfriend being peeved that the guy didn't think which city to move to would be a better choice for her. And of course, that Jar Jar was invented so that the 5-yo sister in question could play in the game as a form of babysitting her.

The funniest part with Darths and Droids is how Jar-Jar ended up being so wise and revered in that universe's game. It's amazing how Sally's portrayal of Jar Jar made his character likable compared to how Lucas's script made him far worse then all the ewoks combined.

"I can't negotiate with a sword! I need a blaster!"

and

"How can you tell if it's hostile?" -- "If it shoots back."

Both Jim, of course. I've been following D&D since pretty much the start.
