Some anthorpologist theorize that this is how the first proto-human started hunting when they were still in the savannah. Chassing other animals under the hot sun until they couldn't walk anymore. It is super easy to slit the throat of the beast with a sharp rock after that.
Apparently humans are one of the few animals who can run under the hot sun without getting exhausted.
