Conflict!

Proposing a big change to the setting, chiefly having the world engulfed in a long drawn out conflict...a sort of almost war without end. Though would like people's feedback on the idea, so please share your thoughts.

Had a really good suggestion; Go with a cold war rather than a full blown conflict, gives plenty of potential for plot ideas. Presently thinking of calling it 'The Quiet War', also having the Great Darmonican War ending a decade prior to the 'present day' in the setting.
