Wireth found himself watching, slightly dumbfounded, by the quick chatter back and forth. He briefly ruffled as the heat-making human took offense at his offer to play guide, but he noticed the gentle-seeming half-elf's stare and settled his own temper. He knew that stare: I'm looking at a monster. Wireth wouldn't play into the stereotype, much as he wanted to.
Finding his center, though, left him largely out of the fast discussions of plans, and before he knew it, there were barely any of them left at the table.
"If it helps, I'm a fair hunter, as well. I shouldn't have much trouble providing for myself and maybe one or two others; that should save on some rations," he offers the human with the glowing rune. He glances after the fiery human, adding, "And it sounds like Suldrel can probably do much the same." He's reasonably certain he's stripped his voice of any venom as he tries to orient his manners toward the eccentricities of the party.
"It ... seems the others aren't keen on asking after our swamp guide until the morrow," Wireth offers to the panther-paired human. "Are we asking him for maps, or to lead us through the muck? If it's the second, might be best to wait for the others tomorrow, though I'll rarely say no to leaving town sooner rather than later." Despite his even tone, it's becoming apparent that his stay in the predominantly human settlement is starting to wear on Wireth.
