Other than the sunken ship one, I can't say I'm impressed. They look like escapees from a cheesy super hero costume contest. But the actual landscape one is good and inspiring.

A bard with Weapon Proficiency Heavy Bass Guitar?

That's more likely to be a "Tool Proficiency," IMHO.

That particular bard doesn't appear to be armed, but the appearance of being unarmed may be part of the intended show. (But what's with that bard's dark eyebrows contrasting with his* white hair? Shouldn't the colors be about the same -- or does he* bleach?)

* I'm assuming that the bard is meant to be male based on the depicted narrow hips; however, the apparent angle of the (clothed) left elbow does give me some pause in that regard.

Yeah same chunky cumbersome unrealistic style as 4E. Almost Renaissance-punk. Yergh. Like the ship tho.

But I don't buy rulesets for the art, though it helps.

Well, that was fun

I must admit, those out-of- context pieces on white backgrounds are just soulless to me. They don't make me feel anything. The artists are obviously excellent, it's just that I need a scene.

It's not just WotC that does this. Heck, my own publications have done if.
