Meliara places the food down on a nearby table, just to get the awful smell away from assaulting her nostrils then steps towards the stairs. She looks to Thorn with a " Do you want to take the lead?" glance.

Thorn shrugs noncomittally, then nods at the staircase.

I don't really care, lets just go down and sort it out when we see what the situation is.

In reality, she didn't expect the need to play charades for long. The only reason she wasn't already swinging her chain around was because she wanted to make sure the ones downstairs didn't escape in the chaos.
