They Still Make Videos?!

I found two great videos when searching for songs my wife hadn't heard yet.

Since I really haven't kept up on music videos since MTV stopped showing them, anyone else care to share music videos they've enjoyed?

Yes, they still make videos. In a slightly ironic twist in the plot, years after people lost interest in MTV videos, it turns out that good chunks of youth today get the majority of their music from YouTube.

Anything with Shakira works for me ...

I was also drawn to Brandon Flowers and The Killers after ai saw the video of "Only the Young".

Really liked the AIC, Yeah Yeah Yeahs (despite normally disliking any video with the band playing), and Black Keys videos.

Despite my previous comment, Alabama Shakes does an amazing job of just performing in their videos. Mainly because each is a live performance and Brittany Howard has a spectacular delivery.

Especially when the lead singer was singing "walk like an Egyptian" and glancing slyly from side to side....oh my...

...but I actually prefer the performance of it on Later...with Jools Holland- we get to see his live performance, which is cool, but we also get to see his band. Not only is his drummer cute, but his guitarist, Rosie, is the sexiest female axe-slinger I have ever seen. IMHO, of course. And she's not all looks, either- the lady can play, no question.

Bjork's "Army of Me" is a favorite. (I'm getting an error message, but it may be on my side only, so I'm posting it anyway.)

This isn't pop, but these are the best contra dance videos I've ever seen. Most of them suck; these give me something I can actually email to people who ask "what's contra dance?" Not quite in the MTV vein of things, but hey - they're still music videos. (Edit: OK, they don't actually explain what contra is: I usually do some explaining in the email and suchlike. I'm posting these for the video, not to create contra dancers).
