I'm going to be playing a halfling rogue in an upcoming game and was thinking of ways to optimize him. Vanilla arcane tricksters are fine BUT I like being a skill-monkey and, for that, I was thinking of dipping into the bard class (College of Lore) for 4 levels.
If we ever played to level 20, the loss of 4 rogue (arcane trickster) levels would drop my sneak attack by 2d6 and eliminate the following abilities:
It would, however, give my character the following abilities:
I think it's an interesting combo that works well together. Any suggestions or other builds that I should consider for an arcane trickster/skill monkey?

- 2 known arcane trickster spells
- Spell Thief
- Elusive
- 1 ability score improvement
- Stroke of Luck
It would, however, give my character the following abilities:
- 2 extra 4th level spell slots and a 5th level spell slot (though no access to 4th or 5th level spells, whereas a 20th level rogue/arcane trickster would have 4th level spells)
- 3 bard cantrips and 7 known bard spells
- Jack of All Trades
- Song of Rest (d6)
- 1 additional Expertise
- 4 bonus skills
- Cutting Words
