J'hanna swung again, trying to press her advantage, both the rolling, crowded deck was nothing like the solid ground of the practice field. Her blow went just wide... With a low growl of frustration, she tucked her head down behind her shield and bulled forward past the man, moving towards the more threatened shipmates...

[sblock= OOC] Longsword attack vs. pirate 1d20+5= 12 (probably a miss?). If it hits, 6 slashing damage. Rolls http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/4762143/ . Hit or miss, she will trust her armor and shield against his OA and move to assist Maighan. Specifically, trying to move into position to both support GArrison's attempt for sneak attacks, and to be able to use her Protection style benefit to help Maighan, using J'hanna's Reaction to apply Disadvantage against the first foe to attack Maighan. If Garrison does not drop the pirate he is attacking initially and still moves away, J'hanna will instead move to support Nissa and Aedon, and use Protection to help Aedon (as he was the person she was most directly 'assigned to' in Kingsport. Nissa stays close to Aedon. The confusion, the chaos, the blood...she could feel the rage building in her.

"No!" The word escaped through clenched teeth, though Aedon was likely the only one who could hear it.

Justice looks hard at the two charging the elf archer. He should return the favor and try and help her... but there was still a pirate here to be killed. And him charging in her direction was just as likely to get an arrow shot at him be her. They'd have no way of knowing he's on their side against this scum. Hesitating for that split second was all it took though - his attack was ill timed and unlikely to bring down his foe.

[sblock=Details]Longsword attack at pirate in front of him: 1d20+5=11, 1d8+3=7 Attack likely misses unless pirate AC is 11 or less. If it does hit though, then he takes 7 damage.

Aedon, knowing his ranged cantrip would be difficult to cast in melee, disengages looking for a safer spot to make use of his lesser enchantments.

The charging enemies intercepted, Maighan kept her bow in hand and lined up another shot, on the pirate who'd taken a small lead in the race to get to her. Her concentration narrowed as she took aim. The pirate had half-turned to deal with this new threat, and unwisely was no longer watching her.

It was no harder than bringing down a deer. A merciful arrow to the brainpan.

[roll0] to hit for [roll1] damage.

Garrison lands a solid hit on the flanked pirate before backing away to help Maighan. With his attention diverted, the pirate answers the attack with a slash of his own sword, and Garrison will have one more scar to add to his collection.

OOC: Opportunity Attack vs. Garrison for 8 damage

Aedon and Nissa back up as J'hanna steps between them and the pirate. Her attack goes wide, but her positioning successfully separates Aedon from the bleeding pirate. Aedon hears Nissa's defiance.

Maighan drops one of the two approaching pirates with a single shot. The other is not detered, however, and comes on even stronger. There is no way Maighan can dodge the swing in time, and the pirate's scimitar digs a deep gash into her side.

OOC: One is dead, the other hits Maighan for 8 damage

Justice trades blows with a pirate, but neither can gain an advantage on the other. He sees the elf across the way cleanly take out one of her attackers, but take a near fatal hit from the other. If only he were there to save her, as she was for him...

Jon and the pirate captain continue their epic battle, each looking as if he could die of blood loss at any moment. The captain dances around Jon, and lunges suddenly. His blade is high, going for Jon's face, but then drop for a gut-shot at the last instant. Jon sees the feint for what it is and rolls around the blade to his left, bringing his own blade around to shatter the knee of the captain's outstretched right leg. Jon runs his balde through the beaten captain without hesitation, even as ship crumbles around them. The captain smiles, his teeth a sticky crimson.

"Aye, I guess that makes her your boat now, captain," he says with a dying breath.

Jon cannot respond before he is surrounded by the remaining few pirates who've yet to jump ship.

More of the rigging falls, and Justice sees no easy way to get to the man before the ship turns to flotsam.

J'hanna swung at the pirate again, this time missing even more dramatically as the man dodged wildly on the pitching deck. She set her feet as best she could, keeping her shield up and her blade moving...

[sblock= OOC] Longsword attack misses, 1d20+5= 8; roll http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/4766103/ . J'hanna will keep the pirate engaged, and use her Protection style benefit to protect whoever is attacked- Aedon or Nissa. [/sblock]

"Damn, Damn, DAMN!", Justice repeats as he sees the two captains about to go down with the ship while surrounded by more filthy pirates, and the elf who saved his life about to lose hers. "Damn!!" He yells in the face of the pirate fighting him before leaping into action.

[sblock=Details]I don't know how far apart we are, but Justice is trying to get to the pirate who slashed the elf archer and attack him this round if possible. Since he has no shield, he's using both hands on the longsword for it's versatile damage of 1d10: 1d20+5=18, 1d10+3=12 Hits AC18 for 12 damage if he can reach that pirate. If he's too far away to reach with one move (30 ft), then apply this attack roll to the pirate in front of Justice instead before he moves as close as possible to the pirate attacking Maighan.

Aedon chants and a bolt of fire shoots towards the pirate hoping to stop the other attacker before harm comes to J'hanna.
