I think they'll be wearing a Wehrmacht (i.e., army) uniform rather than a Nazi (i.e., political party) uniform.

But I agree that basic grunts' AL doesn't matter very often.
*shrug* But since the original poster included it...
Also, if you want to interrogate them for information (or something), it can be quite handy to know exactly what they are loyal to.
