If you've played Castle Ravenloft, Wrath or Ashardalon or The Legend of Drizzt, you know what you're getting here: an enjoyable game for 1-5 players that is on the lighter side of the spectrum. A new method of dealing with traps and a campaign that takes you through all 13 missions with characters advancing between each one are the major additions to the system, in what is a good addition to the range.

I own the previous boardgames, and each one has been a little better than the last. I think this one is great.

I'm really pleased with this game. My friends enjoy it and it's easy to get into, and seems just about the right difficulty. It is also compatible with the previous D&D board games and dungeon command games. Only minor criticisms are that perhaps it is a little too simplistic, and the character progression for the campaign mode seems a bit bolted-on, but this is understandable to keep compatibility the previous games.A fine addition to my board game collection.
