When you do the math there are only so many options that will come up. All those numbers have the same symbol.

yeah but how does it come up with the right symbol not knowing what number you came up with?

Choose any number from 10-19, do the math you get 9. 20-29 you get 18, 30-39 you get 27, etc. All these numbers have the same symbol. So, it doesn't matter what number you pick, all the possible answers share the same symbol and that symbol comes up.

Ok, but the on the site i did it multiple time and got differnt symbols.

that's because every time 'try again' is clicked, the symbols are all changed (but you'll notice that whatever symbol it is, 9, 18, 27, etc. are all the same symbol)
