That just makes it worse. Why would you put the life support there and have to shape the helmet like that? It sticks out of the back of the head. If you needed to fix something on it, you'd have to either have a second person look at it or take it off. You know everyone besides Ripley is going to die. She'll be stuck by herself, her life support will snag on something since it sticks out so awkwardly, and she is going to have to take it off and die. The aliens won't even have to try to kill her. The environment and the silly design will do her in.

Remember, this is just concept art he was working on during his downtime on the Chappie production. If it goes through, it'll likely look different.

For some reason that makes me think Chappie is going to be really terrible.

For some reason that makes me think Chappie is going to be really terrible.

In the article he says he had some downtime when post-production was well underway. With a lot of CGI that could be a year long process as it was in this case. He'll have had plenty of time on his hands.
