Miniatures: From Concept to Figure

Here's an interesting couple of pictures showing a pair of Gale Force 9's D&D miniatures both in concept art form and as final plastic figures. The result is very similar to the original artwork.

Dire Bare

Legend
GF9's line of D&D miniatures is old school, they come unpainted and unassembled. The media is resin, and the sets are expensive. And as Ehren mentioned, flying creatures come with a clear acrylic post so they can "fly" above the resin base.

They have a lot of neat and interesting figures available, but I agree with Neobolts, a lot of the faces end up looking harsh and fugly.

Check them out!
