Paper used in AD&D 1e books?

Anybody happen to know what kind of paper the 1e books were printed on? I want to print some of my own homebrew stuff on my inkjet but the paper I'm buying seems really flimsy compared to the stuff in my 1e books. Thin, and wrinkles far too easily. I bought 24 lb paper because I read a thread somewhere saying that was heavy enough, but it's not even close. I don't want glossy paper, because all my printing will be B&W. I'm not that fond of the feel of glossy paper, either.

Don't know, but man, those early books are good quality, both in stitching and in paper. My early DMGs held together really well. Quality went in the toilet about Unearthed Arcana, but I wish today's books matched the early 1E books' construction.

don't remember but look for something with a bit of cotton in it, normally this is 25% but you can find more.
