The First Doctor Sourcebook is a unique sourceboook in that both gamers and fans of the show might want to add this to their bookshelves. Sure, it has been nominally created for playing the Doctor Who RPG, but it's also a great resource for fans of the show. The book is slam-packed with information about the First Doctor, as played by William Hartnell. I could easily see someone who writes Doctor Who fan-fiction or someone who is a rabid fan of the show picking this up and being perfectly content with never using the game portion of the sourcebook. The sourcebook is worth its weight in gold based solely on the amount of information provided. And yes, there is much for the gamer to enjoy here too. Each serial gets an individual write-up with bonus content such as continuity connections and ideas for further adventures. This is a beautiful book to add to your Who fan and/or gaming collection.
