Three of the Artifacts in this book are from the last two adventures of the WotC Adventure Path series [Lord of the Iron Fortress & Bastion of Broken Souls]. Wizards is even kind enough to give a very short summary of the LotIF plot and what artifacts can be found in BoBS. They even tell you what artifact the bad guy is wielding in the final battle.
Why did they do this? I'm using the Adventure Path series with some slight modifications as the basis for my campaign. The A&EG is clearly a book for players AND DMs and two of my players have ordered their copies of the book. Why couldn't they just put the artifacts in and keep quiet where they are from?
