Skarsgard

Explorer
Surveying the silent slums Helios straps his shield tight and draws his longsword. There was no doubt they would encounter something in the slums but what? Their group seemed fairly diverse and looked handy enough to take on any challenge but time would tell.

"Well, lets have at it." he steps out of the transient safety of the city.

Kestrel pushes ahead, looks back and forth quickly, and then darts to the side, attempting to lose herself in the gloom of the narrow alleys and behind the piles of debris.

Misunderstanding Kestrels intentions as she sprints ahead, Balthassar sighs. "Well, I guess she didn't want to hang out with us anymore. Let's get moving, and watch for any sign of those goblins and kobolds."

The banging of the gates as they are shut behind you startles Kestrel. Quickly recovering, she moves into the shadows of a nearby alley.

Balthassar quietly looks around, observing a small form further down the street disappearing around a corner.

"There!" Balthassar shouts, pointing in the direction of where he saw the small form disappear from sight. "Did you see that? I bet that was a goblin or something. Let's go!"

The sorcerer has not even finished his line before he starts to move quickly towards the spot he just pointed out, readying his crystalline rod for spellcasting.

Caius whips his bow from his shoulder and nocks an arrow. He starts after Balthassar, but not before ducking into the shadows to follow as silently and carefully as he can. As he does so, he whispers to the group: "After him, before he does something stupid. I'll follow from the shadows and provide cover, should we need it."

OOC: Does the forum have a dice roller or are we just rolling offsite and posting results?

Grateful now that her companions are so loud and blundering, Kestrel uses their distraction to help cover her own movement through the alleyway. An improvised awning someone put out gives her a point she uses to climb up onto the roof, so she can follow out of street sightlines and with a better view.

Balthassar

The sorcerer does not slow, but turns his head to Helios. His draconic visage makes interpreting his expression difficult, but his words are clear. "A trap? By goblins?"

A laugh erupts from his mouth, but instead of running straight towards the point where he saw the creature, Balthassar run in a curved line so he can see any obvious obstacles or opponents just beyond sight.
