END OF AN ERA... START OF A NEW ERA
Chaosium ends 40 years in the San Francisco Bay Area, California
Friday, September 25 2015 – For immediate release
As part of its ongoing restructuring, the iconic games company Chaosium has made the difficult decision to close its office and warehouse in Hayward, California ending the 40 year physical presence of the company in the San Francisco Bay Area.
"Chaosium has a global fan base, and the principal officers of the company are located across the globe," said Chaosium President Rick Meints, "Our Axis Mundi is now online. And at conventions."
While archives, records (and the company cockatrice) have been moved north to Chaosium's base of operations in the Pacific Northwest, the company is switching to a fulfillment model out of Brainerd, Minnesota for shipping, the same center used by Moon Design Publications.
"We are also listening to our international customers' concerns, and are well on the way to establishing a similar fulfillment model in Europe, and are looking at better options for other international destinations", said Meints.
