My coffee maker is getting a bit old, its arteries are becoming clogged, and I'm thinking about putting it out to pasture. Can anyone recommend a good replacement? I'm not looking for an espresso machine, or anything with cups/pods/pads. Preferably it should have a thermal carafe. Price is much less important than quality.

I have a breville coffee grinder and a breville espresso machine. It is an expensive brand, but they produce quality products. I wouldn't hesitate to buy their thermal carafe if I wanted to lower myself to drinking that sort of coffee.

The coffee's better, I no longer need filters, and best of all I don't have to worry about another coffee pot dying on me.... as long as I can heat water I can make coffee. The next step is an electric kettle with a timer so I can have hot water ready and waiting for me when I get up and get that shot of caffeine even faster!
My wife and I have an older, less fancy version of this Moccamaster.
We got it a few years ago as a gift. It's the best coffee maker we've ever used. We've put cases of Cafe Du Monde coffee through it and it's never made a bad cup.
