The dragoness, obviously very nervous, breathes a line of acid that doesn't quite hit anyone, but also looks like it would really, really hurt to get hit with, and disappears out of the doorway, barking orders to the other folk in the large cavern, who start to assemble into some sort of fighting group should it be necessary.

Qalabash knows that he is not an unlikeable fellow but when it comes to the finer points of negotiation he is not the man for the job.

"Thank you, Tamarie," he says quietly but then he falls silent so that some other more diplomatic individual can treat with the dragon. Dragon! Regardless of how it turns out, Qalabash is excited to have encountered a dragon.

Dunkel suggests, "I could stay as a hostage and you can have one of your minions accompany my companions. As soon as they load up our ship with the chests, he can return and you allow me to go. This way you get us out of your way, and we get the chests we were commissioned to retrieve, and we can all depart in a civilized manner. Crues jaw drops as he watches the exchange between the dragon and Dunkel. That is either one gutsy dwarf or one with a death wish. Thinking on the deal being discussed he suddenly frowns with the dragons response. Crue swallows uncomfortably as he speeks up. "Most generous dragon, you are a magnificent being with a gracious offer. Us being much lesser beings I want to make sure we have not misunderstood your meaning. You see what we seek is not so much the old chests but the contents of the old chests." He gives a bow hoping to show respect the dragon.
