Evendur Buckman Rogue Level 1 (warlock 4)

[section]

Noting the interest of the dockhands, he quickly flashes a hand signal to them in the language all rogues learnt.
‘Too much trouble for you!’ He signs as he enters with his companions.

[sblock=Actions]
From their reactions to the signal (if any), he will try to determine who the leader is. Was there someone they looked to?

Cedric narrows his eyes at the overly curious dockworkers, tilting his head as if to say 'try it'.

As he nears the Broken Rutter and hears the Half-Orc's offer he barely restrains himself from making a quick enemy, I don't think he would take too politely to my inquiry as to whether he would have our horse for an evening snack while we are gone.

[sblock=Grigor]The leader is a pock-faced human male, wearing leather and carrying several knives. He glares at Grigor's "signs" and 'replies' back "You are not in the guild, you don't have any protection. But you look like you could afford it..." Then he makes another sign that Grigor does not understand but it seemed like maybe a local code or something similar to identify fellow members of a particular guild[/sblock]

Cedric and Grigor both notice the group visible tense when the group passes, but they do nothing. Just as they get to the stairs down, they both notice that two men from the group break off and walk rather quickly away and disappear down a side street on the other side of the pier.

Levanna touches the Half-Orc's arm softly. "Oh, you would take care of the horse for us? And not charge us coin for it? I am sorry, it is difficult to hear what you said over the commotion, but that is very gentlemanly of you sir. I had not expected it," she said, favoring him with a friendly smile.

[sblock=OOC]Might as well try it out. Levanna has Suggestion up already. She's going to try to use it on the doorman.[/sblock]

Evendur Buckman Rogue Level 1 (warlock 4)

[section]

Oh dear! Buckman thinks to himself as he notes the two men split off.

He pauses and signs back. That can be easily solved, what is the going rate to join?

He starts to take note of the pockmarked faced man’s appearance and will pretend to be picking something out of his boot while they converse. Evendur hope to maintain the conversation long enough to be able to take on the man's appearance as a disguise.

[sblock=Actions]
I guess Deception to make it not obvious that I am talking to him?
[roll0]

Also, would like to pick up if he is hostile or opportunistic towards us.

Brak Blood-Bear, 5th Level Barbarian

Brak looked impassively at the stevedores; he was used to people staring at him. Approaching the tavern, he took the full measure of the half-orc bouncer. Not having a horse to worry about, the man simply shrugged and continued on his way into the tavern, thirsty for some ale... and possibly a good fight. The big man was unsure what the rest of his companions were doing what with the make-nice with the half-orc and the other picking at his boots.

[sblock=Levanna]You need to make a Deception check vs. his Passive Perception if you want to do it without him noticing. He is a bit weary already so no bonuses or advantage. Once you make the roll I will make his save. There does not seem to be anyone else around right now to notice also...[/sblock]

[sblock=Grigor]The seems more an opportunistic then hostile but you also get the feeling that he would say just about anything if you gave him money and would betray you as soon as you turned your back on him.[/sblock]

As Levanna walks down the stairs the half-orc says "I'd a watch yer lady friend her' fer free..." but it seems a half-hearted insult, more to try and get a rise out of you then a real proposal. He does lean back a bit as she gets within touching distance of him and puts his hand on his mace (but he does not draw it...)

[section]Human settlements, specially those like this Port Fury, weren't amusing for him. Specially when people like that disgusting half-orc was saying stupid stuff like that. He looked around to see if what the other were doing. Evendur was suspicious as always, but the others seemed like they were ready.

Avoiding to look menacing, the elf gets close to Lavanna. Should something go wrong with that damned half-orc, at least she wouldn't be alone to face him. [/section]

Brak walks into the tavern and notes that it is a fairly large, low ceiling open room, filled with thick smoke from the fire on the other side of the room. There are seven long benches arranged haphazardly around the central part of the room, filled with at least a score of patrons (mostly humans but a few half-orcs also). There are five square tables set against the walls on both ends of the room, most have at least a few people sitting at them, these are again mostly humans and a few half-orcs but one far in the back has three dwarfs sitting at it, drinking out of big metal steins (instead of the wooden ones most everyone else is drinking from).

The bar on the opposite wall of the room is stone bar and there are two bartenders behind it, both dwarfs. One is very wide with a wild bread breaded with ribbons and small bells into it. The other is leaner (at least for a dwarf) wearing a sleeveless apron to show up his tattooed arms. Both are cleaning wooden tankards with dirty rages and watching the bar. There are also four patrons standing at the bar, drinking and singing.

There are two doors on the opposite wall, one behind the bar and one near the table where the dwarfs are sitting...

Some of the conversations around the room quiet when Brak makes his appearance but then they go back to being loud and seem to ignore him...
