Stan Lee's "Lucky Man"

Well, that was fun

Saw the first episode last night. Stars Jimmy Nesbitt, which is always a bonus. I'm not sure about it yet; he didn't seem to have much luck, except for winning some money at that casino. It's a 10-part series on Sky 1, Fridays at 9pm.

Lots of pretty nighttime shots of London. Anyone else see it? What did you think?

I saw it, but I didn't really warm to it. Jimmy Nesbitt was good, and for that reason alone will probably watch the next episode. If it doesn't get more interesting though, I can't see myself sticking with it.

Legend
Jimmy Nesbitt's performance was good, but his character wasn't particularly sympathetic or developed. Okay, he's got a gambling problem and he's a cop, but beyond that? Is he good at his job, does he care about the people around him, does he have a conscience? It was rather hard to tell, which made it hard to care.

Also, the whole thing is shot in typical British "this-is-a-serious-drama" visual style, with lots of flat lighting and washed-out colours, which winds up just feeling like I need to turn up the colour-contrast on my TV.
