AL FAQ update for April

An update to the Adventurers League FAQ has been posted on the dndadventurersleague.org website.

Please be aware that one answer in that FAQ is misleading, however:

"In addition, there is no need to reference the table on p9 when running this season’s DDAL adventures – as the rewards for these adventures have already been pre-calculated according to the method listed on the table, and listed in the “DM Rewards” section of those adventures."

None of the adventures released this week (DDAL 04-02 through 04-05) contain a DM downtime reward for running the adventure, so use the advice on pp.9-10 of the ALDMG to determine the downtime award (5 days of downtime for every 2 hours of play).

I wrote that particular FAQ entry during the playtest. The playtest documents each had downtime awards for DMs listed within them. It appears the wording was not updated to reflect the current reality however.

Still, while it may be misleading - the FAQ as written is accurate in so far as DMs do not need to reference the table on p9 for their DM rewards (XP and GP). Downtime Rewards (listed on p10) are not on the table, and are listed at 5DT/2hrs, so this is still a technically accurate FAQ (although misleading in its interpretation).

I will see about getting the wording fixed.
