A cow has been born in Uzbekistan which has developed a third horn growing from the center of its forehead. The mutation has led to concerns about increasing pollution levels in that country but more relevantly to Enworld has predictably drawn comparison to the Unicorn and even those suggesting that the mutation should be encouraged to create a new Moonicorn breed.

Could it be that this rare mutation is an old one and the source of the Unicorn legend? could the noble Unicorn with its magical horn and association with virgin purity be nothing more than a mutant bovine?

It can't be a unicorn if it has three horns. Unless, maybe, it's a three-headed unicorn (which this one, of course, is not).

Well, that was fun

Yeah, the word unicorn is very specifically "one horn". That would be a tricorn. Which, of course, lends it's name to style of hat.

Now I'm getting mental images of three-horned cattle dressed in American Revolutionary garb and playing fifes and drums.
