Actually, all those 13s isn't that bad. +1 at least in every stat but one.

Which does nothing for most of the classes. Most need two, maybe three abilities to be high.

Although, if he takes all ability increases he could be looking at 2 20s at the end, it is still bigi nvestment.

Leif, check my earlier post, you might be able to recover Arcturus completely.

Yeah, Neurotic, I tried what you suggested to no avail. *Sigh* But I think I might just take what I rolled anyway, arranging thusly:

St 13
In 09
Ws 13
Dx 13
Cn 13
Ch 13

So, at 20th level, those would be:

St 18 +4
In 09 +0
Ws 13 +1
Dx 13 +1
Cn 13 +1
Ch 18 +4

HP: 11+[7 x 19 = 133] = 144

Every 4 levels invested in a class grants you a +2 ability increase or feat. I think there's an option to take +1 to two abilities as well.

Not really, actually. 5e is much more forgiving of subpar stats. His roll is only 1 point less than standard/point buy (26). Depending on race, he could have a 15 and a 14 to start. I've made off-race characters like that.

But up to him, in the end.
