While Beowulf has never seen this mage's astral signature before he is fairly confident he could recognize it again. He also is sure that the caster is a Hermetic mage and that yes it appears that he has a bit of a fire-fetish even in the design of this ward.

"Alright," said Juno, "I'm going to head in and get a look at the layout inside. Get some pictures. They will probably ask me to leave after a minute or two, since I'm not exactly dressed the part of someone with legit biz there, but I can get some work done before then."

Beowulf examined the warding's closely, and committing the signatures to memory, just in case. Sig was uneasy, but wasn't being clear. Beowulf started to feel a gnawing sense that there was more to this job than it seemed, whether the obfuscation was deliberate or not he could not say, but in his experience Runners like him and the crew were always the least informed in any scenario.

No need to worry the others with this thought, for now. Beowulf and Sig would keep them safe or die in the attempt.

It was just their way.

Beowulf returned to his body with a start, and got out of the car. He lit a cigarette and drank from his flask as he settled back into meatspace. He nodded at Tharg, who had stood outside while he was away from his body.

'Let's get with Juno and Jaeger. Figure out our next move."

GM: Is Juno just going to walk in? Try to be stealthy or does she want Jaeger to cast Invisibility on her? Note that because of her cybernetics, casting helpful spells on her is at a -4 penalty. Jaeger can spend extra time to boost his skill level back to a 13 or less (taking two double time for 6 and then 12 seconds for +2). Invisible, Juno still will want to make a Stealth check but it is for the noise she makes and she would get a bonus as people might mistake any noise she makes (unless she is talking or something similar) as not someone sneaking around

GM: Nope its a private residence, so normally you can't just walk in... just as an FYI. You see a doormen but otherwise Master-Blaster will tell you that it has a wireless recognition of a persons comlink ID to buzz them in. If you are invisible and set your com on private, you could possibly slip in with another resident. Master-Blaster also mentions that there is a passive weapon's scanner on all the entrances but that he should be able to spoof both of these too get you both in.

~ " Just a minute, fraulein," Jaeger asked of Juno, watching the building warily. The doorman ... Well, the Elf was sure he may be able to talk his way past security. Private Residence or not, there was usually a way in. There was always a way in. He lingered a moment to see if there was anything else about the entrance he could pick up, before turning to the human woman.

" I may be able to convince them that I'm here to see an apartment, or a friend. Something," he posited, " And if I make you disappear, we can probably slip you in right behind me. Or at least distract them enough for you to slip in."

He waved the girl away from the streets, inside their little coffee shop they had occupied for a stakeout camp. A quick look around pointed out a restroom sign to the one bathroom in the building at the back, and Jaeger began heading towards it, waving Juno on. When a Dwarven barista gave him a raised eyebrow for what it looked like he was trying to do, Jaeger could only catch her eyes, give a nod over his shoulder to Juno, and a small shrug as if to ask, "Can you blame me?". With an amused smirk, the barista went back to foaming some soymilk, letting Elves do whatever it is that they get involved in.

Thankfully, the single-occupant-designed restroom was well maintained. Jaeger quickly locked the door behind them, stepping back to give Juno some space.

" Sorry, but the streets aren't really the place for this. Now."

Taking in a deep breath, Jaeger regarded his runner companion with a deep stare. His Third Eye slid open, Hundgeist sniffing over the razorgirl and relaying his insights into Fredrick's mind. Where the chrome was, all he could see was the dull dark of the faded material world, but there were still vibrant bits of Juno's essence left over: pieces of pure, brilliant light resonating within the Astral. The loss of the soul was something deeply saddening to the Elf, but he knew the Sixth World, he knew the sacrifices that needed to be made to get by.

The dullness of the cyberware would make this more difficult, but Jaeger focused more, trying to read the ebb and flow of what made Juno Juno, and how he might manipulate it. To coax that vibrancy to not just dull, but invert and become like shadow. Light could be bent: he just needed to place the mirrors properly. It took an uncomfortably long silence of Jaeger and Hundgeist communicating on how best to accomplish this, but Mage and Spirit eventually agreed and joined back together.

The colors of the material world bled back into view, leaving Jaeger a little underwhelmed: the Astral was so far beyond mere mortal sight and even the wonders of The Matrix that it was almost a ... disappointment to venture back from it. However, he gave Juno a small smile, nodding as if in reply to a question that wasn't asked.

" It won't be easy, but I think I can make you invisible. Then we can go scope out that building. Um erlaubnis bitten?" he asked, holding up his hand. He made sure that Juno gave her explicit permission before placing his palm upon her shoulder.

Cover her in shadow, Hundgeist. Chase away the eyes of others.

The close quarters with Jaeger barely registered with Juno; military life had burned such concerns out of her some time ago. Nor was she at all concerned about her safety. Her cyberarm meant she was never without a weapon, and she had plenty of hand to hand training and experience.

Magic though. That sent chills down her back, pimpling her shoulders and upper arms. She'd worked with mages before, of course. Just about every one of them was frakked up in some way, and just about all of them could call on horrors out of nightmares. Objectively she knew the dividing line was artificial. What was worse, dropping a canister of sarin into a bunker or summoning some screaming fire-demon into the bunker? The end results were roughly equivalent. But sarin was something human beings had made, and it was awful the way human beings could be awful, but it was understood. Somewhere, someone knew how it worked and there were equations about it on a chalkboard and people wrote articles about it. It belonged to us.

Fire demons though. Who knew what they were, really? What they wanted. What they could do. When they'd stop. Magic was meddling with something that was fundamentally inhuman. Alien.

But being invisible might be the only way to get more than a glimpse in that building. Her arm didn't exactly invite friendly reactions from high-price security personnel.

She'd made worse compromises for less justifications in the past. She could live with this. But she didn't have to be happy about it.

With a curt nod, Juno indicated her assent.

Checking the area before he cast his spell, Jaeger saw no unusual attention or camera about, but in this neighborhood just because you could not see one did not mean they were not any. But even today, few establishments put cameras in bathrooms... a lot of places were just restrict who when in. Luckily Jaeger had a honest face and the staff at Insane Bolt Soycoffee buzzed him and Juno in without a second glance.

Jaeger spell enveloped Juno, but the elf shaman could feel that her essence was resisting the spell... it was like she was covered in a greasy oil and your spell keep wanting to slip off of her. But finally it took hold and the street samurai disappeared from view.

GM: Juno is going to need to make a Stealth check to slip by and into the building. Jaeger is going to need to make a Fast-Talk or a Savior-Faire (Corporation) to roll to convince the doorman that he is interested in looking at an apartment etc. depending on his story their could be a penalty. The more unbelievable and all...

This cost Jaeger 2 FP (he has 11) and it will cost him 1 FP per minute to maintain. Once you are under 3 FP you are at 1/2 movement, etc. so you figure you have about 6-7 minutes worth before you start getting really tired. FP recover at a rate of 1 every 10 minutes that you are resting. Also if you cast any new spells while maintaining the invisibility you suffer a -1 to your spell skill roll (but only spell rolls).

Master-Blaster's [roll0] (19 or less), then a [roll1] (18 or less) and then finally a [roll2] (19 or less)
