Oh great a ambush Duran thought and at such a distance, Duran's master knew a spell that would have been perfect here,unfortunately Duran does not his aptitude for spells was never that great so he falls back in what he does best and morphs into a bear mid charge.

Will cut the dash short if can end in some cover. If anyone wants a ride on the bear train Duran will not resist.

As the arrows landed among them, Errol brought his heavy crossbow around, scanning the copse of trees. He went low into a crouch and moved forward with the others from cover to cover to avoid any more arrows.

OOC: 100 feet is within crossbow range, so if Errol sees anyone, he will fire. Otherwise he takes the Dodge action.

Reszor was commissioned by a soldier turned assassin to enhance his ability to kill without being detected. It has a star motif etched into the blade and the handle is of blue leather. Dried blood clings to the blade and cannot be cleaned off. The weapon counts as magical and when you make an attack against on opponent while hidden the attack will make no noise. Additionally, when you make an attack with this weapon and get to use bonus damage dice, such as superiority dice or sneak attack dice, roll an additional die and discard the lowest. When you say the command word "Reszor" the blade will glow with dim light out to a 5ft radius, saying the command word again will turn the light off. Finally there is a mild curse on the blade that drives the wielder to kill. After rendering an opponent incapacitated or unconscious make a DC7 WIS saving throw to stop yourself from killing the creature.

As you advance on the ambush another volley of arrows shoots out from the trees, this time more focused on the large bear that was Duran, each of them finding their mark and drawing blood. The goblin archers scurry back into the woods, seeking hiding places. As the bear gets near the edge of the copse, two great, green-skinned orcs stand up and throw javelins, leaving the bear terribly wounded. They too withdraw into the woods, but aren't as adept at getting out of sight.

Duran Let's out a great roar of pain this forms strength was nearly done but if it was hit and run these creatures wanted they would run no more.

Duran positions his body behind a tree before shifting back to his human form as he does he waves his staff in a wide arc and pleas with the forest in druidic as the roots and branches of the trees twist and turn grasping at the druids enemies.
OOC:
Moving to take cover behind a tree and then casting entangle originating from the center of the forest. 20ft Square becomes difficult terrain anyone caught inside the initial cast area is restrained if they fail a str save vs 14, if restrained can free with a action and a str save.

Ilvellios did not want to turn into a target like Duran had, and appreciated his comrades bravery.
Using his superior speed, he headed towards one of the goblins on the periphery that would otherwise be hard for them to target, then he dodged behind a tree in order to assess the impact of Duran's spell..

Move diagonally southeast, should just get to the cover of one of the trees.
