Darwin moves to the stairs heading down and stops, taking out his shield. While waiting for the others to come, he quietly takes a few steps down and peers intently downstairs and listens carefully, unconsciously moving his hand towards the hilt of the Moonsword.

Those who enter the West Wing find that it has definitely been ransacked. There are tables overturned, book shelves tipped over, and books and scrolls thrown everywhere. There is a back door that is still open. Kini did not know about this door (this may be the aforementioned secret door that the heroes already knew about).

Darwin gets very serious, and quietly draws the moonsword. His eyes narrowed at the destruction - typical. He inhaled deeply - gnolls had a perculiar smell, and liked to mark things. He looked for stray paw prints, tufts of hair snagged on something, or other signs of their presence. Perhaps he could even get an idea of their numbers... His ears also stayed wide open - Gnolls liked to argue.
