This is a really cool way to let the players meet some semi-mythical creatures and let them feel special and chosen. I love it!

I know former Admin for these forums, Piratecat, used to allow players the whole Core Book list, then allow them new spells from new products in exchange for striking old ones from their access, on a one-for-one basis. That way, they had access to the same number of spells, but the list didn't grow exponentially every time a new product came out. It struck me as a good house rule, much like the way sorcerers and oracles can replace on even levels.
