Lucien watched the girl leave the yard. The girl was desperate to get out of the city. Which meant she would work hard to figure out a way to get him out. Lucien smiled now he had a heading he now needed a ship. But that required Giovanni to actually arrive. Lucien turns back to the tavern. He had been out here to long already. He looks back at the cracked cobblestones from where his hammer impacted. He shrugged then walked back into the inn.

Lucien scanned the room seeing if Giovanni had arrived while he was outside. He quickly notices the atmosphere. He curses as it seemed his life was destined to get more interesting. He said a silent prayer to Nodens and walked back into the room. Not sure what had happened here but ready in case trouble erupted.

Round 0

"What does a Paladin of the Church want with her?" the magic user said, still holding Magdalena’s arm.

Magdalena’s blue eyes narrowed at him. “That is the Maker’s business,” she said. “Now unhand me!” She rested her free hand on the pommel of her dagger as a warning.

Her eyes flicked to the girl, still in the doorway, held by some dwarf.

And then the girl...glowed and disappeared!

“Maker! She’s a magus!” Magdalena exclaimed with surprise. Her weight shifted to head quickly to the girl. She still felt her mark on the young woman, so she knew she wouldn’t lose the girl.

And then the magic user’s grip tightened and she felt him shift. She reacted instinctively as he tried to overbalance her and drop her to the floor.

Magdalena twisted, shoving free of the man. “Do not interfere!” she warned him, and then she dashed for the door after the girl.

(OOC - Arcata reappeared right outside the tavern and then started moving on foot. I figure if anyone goes outside right away they can probably get a glimpse of her before she can double-move next turn)

The raven haired woman was fast.

But Nicolo was faster.

He bolted for the door as soon as the Paladin started for it, his years of training giving him a swiftness of foot few others could match. He realized after she easily broke his hold that fighting this woman would not be a smart idea. However, he knew this area of the city. If he could get to Arcata before the woman, then he could help her lose her pursuer.

The young woman with haunted terror in her eye's disappeared from Federigo's hand and he was left with nothing. He followed where her gaze had lingered and noticed two people wrestling. "One of them caused that look in that girls eyes and he aimed to find out why." he thought to himself, but before he could move closer they were already bolting toward him... so Federigo did what he always did when people tried to run. He attempted to grab them both.

The dwarf who grabbed Arcata now grabbed Nicolo. Instinct took over at this point, and Nicolo launched a flurry of blows down on his attacker. Overwhelming force to get him to back off.

Fedrigo manages to secure both of the assumed pursuers. "Now which one of you..."
WHAM
A blow to the back of the head breaks Federigo's sentence. "made that little girl..."
CRACK
An elbow to the dome once again breaks his sentence.
"so scared? Well put with it!" he demands.
