Gastrocopta Sharae is a cave-dwelling South American snail named for Shar, the goddess of darkness, caves and secrets.
Earlier, in 2014 the same team discovered another type of snail, this one in the deep waters of the Atlantic Ocean, and named it Halystina Umberlee, after the goddess of storms and the sea.
I guess if you're going to be sitting in an underground cave for a few months looking for a 2 millimeter snail, you might as well bring your books and dice with you, lol.
