Carolina's head swivels back and forth between the magical rug and the two empty suits of armor. Quickly deciding on a coarse of action, she dashes toward Bethany, hopping over the rug and coming to a skidding stop some distance on the other side closer to her allies. A quick roll allows the nimble halfling to adjust her position and come up with her crossbow aimed at the enchanted rug. Threatening the entire goblin race under her breath, she lets the bolt fly.

OOC: My assumption was that Carolina was caught between the rug and the helmed horrors, so that's the position I took for this narrative.

Bonus action: Use Cunning Action to disengage
Movement: 25ft. in the direction of the good guys
Action: Attack the... rug? Crossbow hits AC 24 for 13 damage

He charges into the fray, warhammer swinging all around. Yet somehow, he manages to position himself to easily interpose his shield between attacks and others of his group.

"I'll hold off these animated suits!" says Aremus bravely.

Aremus then rushes to interpose himself between the others and the Horrors. He says a swift prayer while drawing his sword and the blade glows brightly. He dances in poking at the armour's joints leaving a seared mark and then he hides behind his shield with quick foot-work.

He notices Ordrar beside him and smiles, "We will get them eventually, friend Dwarf!"

Uh... so if a Helmed Horror works like I think it does, the piercing is halved but the radiant isn't... so that would be 6 damage that I do total? This could be slow going.

Aremus: Your second swings connects with the suit of armor. You can tell it is hurt, but the damage is less severe than you're used to dealing.

Tranio: You fire two beams and one connects with the same suit that Aremus just struck.

Bethany: Your sword easily cuts the rug to ribbons, but it is still flailing around for now.

Dren: Your axe sinks into the rug and the round house kick sends it flying to the floor. The magic tapestry flinches on the ground, not quite vanquished yet.

Fistan: Your spell reduces the rug to nothing but ash.

Carolina: You're able to roll and flip your way to safety. You turn to shoot at the rug and find it gone, aiming at a suit of armor instead. For once, the goblins do not fail you, and the arrow sinks into the helmet.

Ordrar: You charge into the front lines by Aremus and swing your warhammer twice. One attacks connects with the chest plate of the yet unhurt second suit of armor.

Helmed Horror 1: The living suit raises a longsword with both hands and swings twice. Both attacks cutting into Aremus chest for 23 damage.

Tranio sees the armoured figure cut deeply into Aremus. He fires off two more beams while the pair are still clustered together.

He knows he does not need to remind his companions to call for help if they need healing, but he does dismount and advance closer so that he'll be able to heal if need be next turn.

"Since we already caused ruccus, let's make it known we're here." dwarf warrior whirls his hammer and slams it into his own shield. The resultant boom must be audible hundreds of feet around. Visible wave of force emanates away trying to push animated suits of armor away from the group.
