That would be awesome. And you could have eras of play as well.

*Part of the initial crew to start the process with lots of martians to contend with.

*Early colonies, still martians to deal with, but now a wild west sort of scenario as well.

*Post colonization and now you have the setting like on Earth, but now you can add in dynamics of Earth companies vs Mars companies.

I think it would be cool.

There are some sci fi books like this. I forget the author, but the latest trilogy I've read was "Red Mars", then "Green Mars", then "Blue Mars".

Goes thru those three "stages" you were talking about.

Venus is too close to the Sun.

We can think of some ways to make Mars warmer-- mainly by adding water vapor and other chemicals to the atmosphere, to create a greenhouse effect. Figuring out how to cool Venus down, and how to stop its own runaway greenhouse effect, is harder.
