Kubeba strikes once.

Maighan thorn whips one guy into the water.

The spellcaster Kubeba woke up from the hypnosis casts hex and then Vampiric Touch. I'm not 100% sure how resistance works for the healing portion, but I assume it's reduced as well, so Kubeba takes 6+3 hex damage and the caster heals 6.

The wet guy tries to get onto the boat and fails.

The remaining grunt tries to wake up one of his buddies.

The dark tide knight uses his mount to get into position to attack the boats. He makes one short sword attack against Thaliss and one against Maighan, the latter hitting ac 17 and dealing 12 damage.

Thaliss is irritated that the Barbarian chose to attack the charmed blue man, but has more pressing issues to attend to. He casts a spell, hoping that the water will be an asset.

[sblock=ooc]Move: none.
Action: using a 1st level warlock slot, cast twinned Tasha's_Hideous_Laughter, DC 16, on reaver that is in the water AND on the shark rider.

Thaliss will release his concentration on hypnotic pattern, and focus on Tasha''s hideous laughter. Also, once the fight is over, he'll have a chat with the barbarian about battle tactics! ;-)

FYI, I am hoping that swimming and laughing don't go well together, and drowning may ensue!

Note : Thaliss will cast shield as a reaction if he is hit by an attack that deals more than 10 damage (+5 to AC).
AC: 17
HP: 58/58 + 10temp from Carradoc's pep talk

Resistance to fire (cloak)

Spells:
Sorceror: 4/4 1st level slots
3/3 2nd level slots
1/2 3rd level slots (-1 cast hypnotic pattern)
warlock: 1/2 1st level slots (-1 cast of tasha's hideous laughter)
Sorcery points remaining: 4/5(-1 twinned tasha's)

Kubeba presses his attack on the blue skinned mage, he was liking his new magic axe. He was liking it very much!

[sblock=actions]

First two attacks hit AC 24
Damage rolls = 29 and 23 respectively.

If the blue mage dies; transfer attacks to next closest.

Bonus attack hits AC 12 for 28 damage

reckless attack: 2D20.HIGH(1)+4 = [8, 19]+4 = 23
2D20.HIGH(1)+4 = [19, 18]+4 = 23

bonus reckless attack: 2D20.HIGH(1)+4 = [8, 4]+4 = 12

Damage: 1D12+18 = [11]+18 = 29
1D12+18 = [5]+18 = 23
1D12+18 = [10]+18 = 28

First Post
Maighan recoils from the dark warrior's sword and glares at him. She speaks to him in an old language...a primal language that predates words, that speaks to the meat and to the blood. The magic seizes his muscles, stops his movements, makes him a prisoner in his own body, if he is not strong enough to resist.

(Hold Person on Dark Tide Knight who's attacking her boat, Wisdom save DC 16 or he is paralyzed. Which in the water is probably a bad thing. :))

Thaliss sends both of his targets into a fit of laughter.

Kubeba hacks the Fathomer down in two successive strikes.

Maighan further paralyzes her target.

Carradoc still has an action.

Carradoc looks at the creature in front of him, trying to get into the boat, and fires a chilling ray that travels only a short distance before it impacts on the water.

Action: Attack BN 80; to hit [roll0]. If a hit, damage = [roll1] necrotic.

Carradoc blasts the shark thing.

The paralyzed reaver sinks into the water.

The rider remains mounted. The shark "shoves" the boat. This seems to succeed, tipping the boat and Thaliss into the water.

The three reavers swarm Kubeba. Notably their swords do more damage to unarmored targets. Two attacks of three hit. 6 and 10 damage after resistance. "Hail Olyhydra!"

The dark tide knight remains laughing, especially at Thaliss landing in the water.

Thaliss falls, and does not come back up. In the water, he voices an ancient command word with the last breath of air in his lungs, and an air bubble appears around his head. That is more like it! he tells himself, as he swims downwards under the second boat.

[sblock=ooc]action, activate cap of water breathing.

The plan here is if the shark follows, the rider will be submerged.

Move: (1/2 speed because of water) to BN82, 15ft under water (or at the bottom of the stream)

Concentrating on Tasha's_Hideous_Laughter
