Is this a conversion of the R. Talsorian's Cyberpunk?

It probably is, because Mike Pondsmith owns the word "cyberpunk".

No he doesn't. What he owns is the trademark to 'Cyberpunk' as an RPG title, which means only that no one else can produce an RPG with the specific title 'Cyberpunk'. 'd20 Cyberpunk' isn't the same.

Do we really need another thread? There is already one in the Publisher forum.

I thin this thread should be fine we want to talk about the game and its potential, I've viewd the other thread and its is almost exclusively just talking about Copyrights and very little about what people would like to see in the game, or hope is included or how they will be using it etc...

Cyberpunk is trademarked with regards to a roleplaying game.. As for the genre it is still Cyberpunk...

of course, one could also question the possibility of Matrix the RPG... since FASA trademarked matrix with regards to the virtual world of their cyberspace.

This is an issue for the lawyers to hash out.
