Huh? I wasn't saying anything about the originality of the art - just saying that it reminds me of GotG. No need to get tiffy! ;)

They could do far worse than invoking Guardians, considering how freakin' huge that movie's probably going to be. Heck, may have been their intent.

While the quality of the image is certainly top notch, I agree with a lot of the folks on here. It's not evocative in the least! If I was the art director they would have gone back to the drawing board. In an era where table-top RPGs are a dime a dozen your product better jump off the shelf otherwise it's just another game that people will pass by. Now, take Larry Elmore's iconic cover for Star Frontiers...nuff said, I wanna play that game.

I'll chime in on another point people have raised. 582 pages? Seriously? Break the darn thing into a rules-only book and a PHB. For those that prefer a print book to PDF, who wants to lug that thing around. It's absurd!

How 3.5 based is this? The art is a bit meh but I am after somehting I oucld use for a Mass Effect type game and still play Star Wars Saga or even the old D6 Star Wars RPG. Have not tried the FFG Edge of Empire one.

I would imagine it would be equal to Pathfinder being 3.5 based.

Eh already have Star Wars Saga. I'm after a more fixed version of that at least in terms of number bloat as SWSE is kind of a 3.75 anyway.

Its actually why we are looking at a new D6 Star Wars game using the old 80's and 90's rules with the new timeline.
