This question is for City of the Spider. As far as I can see the exact same issue remains for DDEX 3-16 Assault on Maerimydra: neither maps nor descriptions have been changed in any relevant way.

The description does imply there is a hole up to U26, since it talks about a hole down from U26. But it doesn't explain how and why this hole isn't visible (the description specifically says no hole up is visible; the map does not indicate a hole).
The description of U26 strongly suggest there was meant a hole up from U24 to the lower-right part (the part coterminous with U17 on the material plane), since the room description assumes you start in that part of the room.
There is a hole indicated for U29. Since this is the top-most room, I don't think it's meant to lead up. Instead I think it is meant to lead down, again to U26.

does anyone have a good answer for this?
or should I use ethereal rules and say that ethereally they can get through the floor as the hole creates a non ethereal stone opening?
And just make it an ineteracted/blindsight/blindsense discovery?
