D&D 5E Assassin/Shadow Monk

I'm making a Ghostwise Halfling Assassin 3/Shadow Monk 17 character, stats are 8, 14 + 2, 13, 10, 15 + 1, 12, using standard array. I will only have 4 ability score improvements, but I'm not sure what to do with them. If I use them all I'll be able to get maximum Dex and Wis, but I could also keep them lower in exchange for a feat or two (I want to still get Dex to max at least). Alert looks like it could be handy for the initiative bonus for Assassinate, and Lucky is always helpful.

Thoughts?

Definatly max dex. It's just too valuble adding to nearly everything you do, including inititive.

Beyond that it's a toss up. Wis is better for longer days, lucky for shorter days. Though i wouldn't worry about until you get there.

Alert is an essential feat for any Assassin build, AFAIC. Your Assassinate benefits are entirely dependent on beating enemy initiative.

I'd actually take that feat first, then max DEX. Beyond that, a toss up as mellored said.

Alert is handy. Dex max is also useful.
Another Idea may be taking a half feat to increase dex by 1 after raising con to 14. Taking athlete may not be the worst Idea because you have very low strength. Although the benefits as a monk are small but not completely wasted as would be a uneven score. Taking resilient con or even wis can be an option because you will get proficiency in all saves very late. I would advise wisdom.
