Here's a way to munchkin your way to victory

If you look at the epic level book ...

A conniving wizard could cast the epic spell Eidolon, and then have the duplicate cast Eidolon, and that duplicate could cast Eidolon, and so on until level loss stopped the procedure.
The original caster would pay the 2,000 experience point cost of Eidolon, but the repeated casting of the spell would be paid for by the duplicates.

A 30th level wizard could create a 24th level duplicate, and in the process temporarily drop to 26th level. (The duplicate gained 3 levels. The wizard lost 1 level for the Eidolon, then 3 levels for the 3 levels gained by the duplicate.)
The 24th level duplicate could create a 22nd level duplicate, itself dropping to 22nd level.
The 22nd level duplicate could create a 21st level duplicate, itself dropping to 21st level.

These three duplicates could then add their power, through the casting of epic spells, to help the original caster with some other epic spell.
The three duplicates would reduce the difficulty of the epic spell by 57 (3 x 19.)

It gets better.
The 30th level wizard and his three duplicates all proceed to cast Time Duplicate.
Now there are eight wizards. Two of them are the real wizard, and six are duplicates.

It only lasts for one round, but during that one round all eight combine their magic in a single epic spell (which was the whole point of this exercise) with a combined bonus of 133 (seven additional casters throwing epic spells, or 7 x 19) to the DC.

That's the thing about wizards. You can never have a neat and orderly world in which wizards exist. Wizards always muck up everything.

Ok, here's a question:

If a male wizard has a wife, he throws Eidolon on her and creates a duplicate of her, and then he sleeps with the duplicate, and then the duplicate disappears forever at the end of the 8 hour period of the Eidolon spell ...
Has the male wizard cheated on his wife?

Has the male wizard cheated on his wife?

I think you need to put this question in a poll.

I would rule "yes, he has cheated on his wife" with the 'identicle twin' logic to back me up.

Oh, well, you don't need a high-level wizard to munchkin your way to victory. You can do it with a first level character....

Go to Dunkin' Donuts. Buy a box of Munchkins. Take it to your DM and say, "If I win, you get these." A simple solution. Elegant, even :) No need to use huge amounts of power when small amounts of guile will do.

Um, dudes, the wizard would have both wifes get in on the action.

. . . the action in question being, um, . . . knitting. Yes, knitting. Just as Eric's grandma would approve.

Now we know for sure where "Munchkins" came from...Dunkin' Donuts!

Yeah, but then the wizard who shapechanged into a massive gold sphere falls on you, and then where will you be?

And if that doesn't get you, the Intensified awakened sorcerers will, or, perhaps the swarm of Intensified simulacrums.

Or perhaps that guy who used a combination of the Energy and Fortifiy seeds to yield a DC 0 spell that gives an Instantaneous +60 to Intelligence.

Even worse, that guy who keeps casting wall of iron to make absurd profits will sic the nation he recently purchased on you.
