They mentioned some subclasses didn't need much work, so I wager things like the forge domain out knight subclass.

I also don't think the mystic or artificer will be ready (see DM Guild) but ranger might be an option...

@JeremyECrawford In Xanathar's Guide, each class gets 2 or more subclasses. The wizard gets 1.
@Hurmly New subclasses or the UA subclasses, polished to a high shine?
@JeremyECrawford The subclasses in Xanathar's Guide have appeared in Unearthed Arcana. The book contains the most popular ones in their finished forms.

In the past hour, Jeremy Crawford has clarified a few things on Twitter. Not going to post several links to several tweets, as I am sure most people who really care about this stuff already follow him.

"Xanathar's Guide to Everything has over 25 new subclasses; a host of new spells; new rules on magic items, downtime, traps, and more."

"The subclasses in Xanathar's Guide have appeared in Unearthed Arcana. The book contains the most popular ones in their finished forms."

"In Xanathar's Guide, each class gets 2 or more subclasses. The wizard gets 1."

We'll likely find out more in 5 1/2 months, when they start doing more previews.
They're likely still tweaking and couldn't say for sure if they wanted. The book won't be finalized for a couple months...

Here are the subclasses I think are in.

Barbarian: Ancestral guardian, Storm Herald,
Sorceror: Favoured Soul, Sea, Stone, maybe (hopefully) Phoenix Sorceror.
Fighter: Cavalier (or Knight), Arcane Archer
Rogue: Scout, Investiagtive
Ranger: Horizon Walker, Primitive Guardian, Deep Stalker
Wizard: Thuege (the others were not well received as Lore Master was a overpowered and Warmage was too weak, Thuege just needs to take fewer domain features, replacing them with something, and it gets the most bang for the buck, as it's kind of multiple subclasses wrapped into one).
Bard: College of Swords, College of Satire
Monk: Kenasi, Drunken Master
Warlock: Hexblade, Seeker
Paladin: Conquest (Hellknight), Treachery (but toned down into trickery or Deception).
Cleric: Forge, Grave, Protection
Druid: Dream, Sheppard.

Hi, I'm a Mindflayer, but don't let that worry you

We could learn a lot from the product page, as we did with Volo's Guide. I'm mostly interested in the page count, because I see that as the most important factor when predicting what will be in the book. Obviously, my predictions will be vastly different for a 159-page book (SCAG) and a 320-page one (DMG).

Product pages usually go live on the day of an announcement, so I expect we'll see one for Tomb and Xanathar's Guide within the next few days.

Next Monday during UA we might have a better idea of what subclasses where chosen and which weren't.

Math: If there are 25 subclasses, and 12 classes, and Wizard gets 1 new subclass, then that leaves 24\11 subclasses for the others = 22 remainder 2, so: Wizard gets 1 subclass, two lucky classes each get 3 new subclasses, and the other nine each get 2 new subclasses.

Which do you think will be the two lucky classes that get 3?

I think the favored soul got renamed to Divine Soul. But yah i agree those are the most logical ones. The wizard one is tricky cause most ppl want a generalist wizard but their take on it was not popular maybe the Divine one gets the spot.
