I just saw this on the news page...Tome of Horrors II coming from Necromancer Games!!!

Ze converted monsters. I really liked that book, I will probably buy II as well.

I think the point that Olive was making was that most people who picked up the ToH were - like you - doing so for the converted monsters.

AFAIC, ToH2 doesn't contain any more converted monsters. Hence, the main imperative that the original had going for people to buy it over other monster books is gone for the sequel.

Not me. I was a big fan of the converted monsters.

Any monster book is at least worth a look. But beyond that, I make no promises...

It does look as if it will not contain more converted monsters. Which is unfortunate becasue there were serveral more to convert. There was a thread before on what remainig monsters could be in a ToH sequal, in fact.

Well, given WotC's violation of their gentleman's agreement not to convert the monsters in ToH, I'm not surprised that the sequel will focus on new monsters instead of more conversions.

I mean, what, like a fifth to a third or so of the stuff in ToH has seen print in a WotC conversion by now? Sheesh. Talk about ethics.
