    Scientific names

    What would be the various scientific names for the various creatures of dnd?

    The AD&D MM had scientific names for some critters- Draco horriblis was one, as I recall- but even then, it was inconsistently done.

    Draco horriblis is a good example. Just make up a name describing the creature and translate it to Latin.

    For example: Owlbear => Feathered bear => Ursus Pinniger

    Scientific names

    This is mostly a thought exercise for people, but your on the right track though.
    A good name for Minotaur though would be homo bulius.
