As the trip from Winterfell to Dragonstone takes weeks, this makes one wonder what Littlefinder and Sansa were talking about if he only starts giving such advise then.
Likewise Dany and Varys spend weeks on a ship during the voyage to Dragonstone, yet she only then starts to lecture him? What did they talk about all that time?
Best ignore any realistic notion of traveltime, accept that everybody travels at speed of plot and be happier for it
