What happened to co-DMs in 3.5

Does anyone else remember this, or should I ready myself for a comfy rubber room? I seem to recall talk about including some method for rotating dms in a campaign that was supposed to be in the 3.5 DMG. This was quite a while ago, and I haven't heard anything in a long time.

Does this sound at all familiar?

Thank you for your timely responses. As a post script, the pleasant men in white have told me that I can rejoin the rest of society when I stop barking at the space clowns. (Stupid invisible space clowns!)

They have also told me that unconfirmed rumors about missing 3.5 material that came from my dog are subject to ridicule. Or maybe it was ridulin.
