Pathfinder Lvl 1 Character equipment

Hello, I am a brand new DM/GM and my first session is soon. I am having them start off as lvl 1's in Pathfinder. What equipment do yall let them have, including armor, gear, etc. Do you make them buy it with their gold or give them the basics for free? Any help would be great Thank ya!

They get starting wealth by class. Sometimes I'll even make them roll it, instead of letting them have max or average.

But they rapidly get more gear anyway.

Should I give them basic stuff and then if they want to buy more expensive stuff they have to use their wealth or what

Just give them the starting gold and let them buy what they want and can afford.

No, you should not give them anything. Just the max starting GP recommended for each class & let the players spend it as they choose.

Yeah, just starting gold and let them purchase their equipment with that. They won't get everything they want, but that is the nature of it. Starting off small and growing.
