D&D 5E Ultimate Sorlock (Coffeelock) villain! How to defeat him? Is It possible? A party vs one

In the continuation, my party was wiped out (TPK).The campaign is high level, 6 PCs 15 ~ 17. The group already has some powerful magic items and we've never lost half of the group. So we were confident to get the villain artifact, we had 2 wizards (Abjuration / Evocation) and ignored the DM's warning that the villain was too strong and we needed more preparation.Our characters are now Zombies / Skeleton. The Master gave us a chance to create character to defeat them and resurrect our group.

If possible 1v1 20th-level optimized character vs the villain! Is It possible? If not, a party vs the villain.

We need a optimized team. Any class. Unearthed Arcana is obviously disallowed.
We are in the dark mountains and we need to invade their territory or create a tactic to taunt him.

Then appeared the Villain and his Simulacrum flying (Free Divine Soul wings) a long distance, with Darkness/Invisibility and Stealth (Wait, Is It +26 Stealth check?)
The Villain's attack was devasting:
Distant Metamagic + Empower Metamagic + Spellsniper feat + Eldrich Spear (1.200 feet, WTF), if the enemie is close enough, It simply use Distant Dimension Door (1.000 feet).
While the Simulacrum was using Distant Metamagic + Earth Bind (600 feet range, Wait what?) and commanding the Undead (Animate Dead).


The villain is not just a blaster. He is a necromancer (Yes, better than any other necromancer) and Assassin.Your Simulacrum Casts Animate Dead. Commanding is a bonus action, Creating a whole horde of Zombies and Skelleton (Including us), he has a preference for Archers and Rangers skelletons, as they attack from a distance and help with Perception Checks.The most powerful weapon of the Villain is the Subtle Spell + Stealth. He can attack (Enemies Abound, Hold Person, Polymorph, Charming Person, Command) while hiding and steal the enemy (Sleigh of Hand). This virtually eliminates Wizards from the game by stealing their material components (including during combat) and possibly their Spellbook.

Simulacrum's Silence + Villain's wish: Force Cage or Staff's Wall of Force + Dimension Door (Teleporting inside) is simply devastating against the Spellcasters.

The Villain ignores the effect of silence with Subtle Spell.Another tactic of the villain is to do away with the enemy's resources. Getting Stealth and Command your Undead Troop:Look at that absurd tactic, while the Simulacrum Commands the Undead (Bonus action), The villain uses Pass Without Trace.

While it depletes of the resources of the enemy.The Villain has 29 AC and resistance against ranged attack.

Master of Stealth and Illusions:

He is able to create multiple Major Images (Permanent) and can use stealth action to move them. Flying Images against enemies unable to fly and if you do, you will be vulnerable.He also used Wish: Programmed Illusion on condition of being attacked directly.
This further hinders the enemy from going on an alpha strike, forcing them to spend their teleports and exposing themselves.
Of course, meanwhile the Undeads are hungry.



Also, do not try to use Globe of Invulnerability or anything against magic. Simulacrum uses Long Bow (+ Advantage + 10 atk roll) + Purple Worm Poison (DC 19 or 42 avegare damage).
Which group to create to defeat it? Or just make a new level 1 character?


Feeblemind or other enchantment spells?
The villain is protected by Heightein Sanctuary (Wisdom Save or fail), The Villain has acess to Greater Restauration and Staff of Charming says no to you.

The Villain Active Spells:
Well, the DM was pretty clear. Coffeelock keeps all spells active. This is Coffeelock's signature. Then, Death Ward, Contingency: Revify, Darkness, Sanctuary, Mirror Image, See Invisible and any other Spell Know.If the spells are over, he returns to his Temple of Gods for Short Rest.

Also, what are the character creation rules for this team? Level would be a good place to start. A team of 6 I assume?

One more thing, you misspelled coffeelock in the title again.

so... You have the villain's build?
Fight fire with fire and make 6 of them.

Then get your PCs back and carry on with the campaign. :p
