Both game systems use the exact same fluff, despite the different mechanics and most or all of the already published TOR adventures are being converted and re-released for AiME. I am not sure yet what they will do with the region books that have been released so far for TOR, since really only stat blocks would have to be changed over to the AiME system. Overall, the setting information is top-notch and both systems are well done. It just depends on how complex your group wants to go. Do they want to learn a lot of new stuff for TOR or take their 5E knowledge and learn a smaller amount of new stuff for AiME?
